Wine Advocate:”Review by Stephan Reinhardt eRobertParker.com # 223 (Mar 2016) Rating: 92 Drink 2016 – 2030
The 2014 Riesling trocken Monzinger Fruhlingsplätzchen has a beautifully delicate and mineral bouquet of great purity. Highly elegant and lingeringly salty on the palate, this is a perfectly ripe and balanced dry Riesling of great expression and finesse. Medium-bodied and piquant, this is wine is lovely to drink now and over the next ten to 15 years.”

Vinous (David Schildknecht): “Buoyant at a mere 11.7% alcohol, this “little sibling” to the Frühlingsplätzchen Grosses Gewächs is not (nor was it ever intended to be) a poor man’s Grosses Gewächs but instead a wine with its own distinct and compelling personality. (Of course, it’s not going to continue under its present name because according to VDP guidelines, that would disrespect the Grosses Gewächs, which “must” be the only dry Riesling of its vintage to carry the relevant site designation.) Mirabelle, quince and white peach are wreathed in honeysuckle, delivering a seductive nose and luscious palate impression reinforced by subtle creaminess of texture. The lift and clear delineation of flavor layers – fruity, floral and savory-mineral (smoky as well as saline and stony) – are striking and compelling.” 93/100
