2016 A.J. Adam in der Sängerei Riesling feinherb

Mosel Fine Wines: 92/100 pts
Vinous: 92/100 pts

This is a noble food wine with a nice and juicy but precise fruit, and a very long and aromatic finish. This wine was picked with a certain proportion of perfectly selected botrytis. Great and perfect with food.

Professional reviews:

Mosel Fine Wines (David Rayer & Jean Fisch): “The off-dry Riesling is made from over 50 year-old vines in the prime “Sängerei” sector of the Dhroner Hofberg and aged in traditional oak. This offers a very appealing nose of pear, ginger, brown sugar, herbs and spices. The wine is beautifully balanced on the palate, with fruits and spices wrapped into a very elegant touch of acidity. The wine is superbly long and elegant. 2021-2036” 92/100 pts

Vinous: “Like his Pfarrgarten, Adam’s cask-raised bottling from the very different (steep) slopes of this prime Hofberg sector is now labeled feinherb to capture its characteristic subtle sweetness. Ripe peach, orange and muskmelon practically burst from the glass, with hints of raw pumpkin adding earthy intrigue. The impression on a satiny palate is correspondingly luscious, and an influx of fleur de sel renders the buoyant finish as mouthwatering as it is mouth-coating.” 92/100 pts
