“Luxuriating in this elixir, you don’t even think about sweetness.”

Professional reviews:

Stuart Pigott (Jamessuckling.com):”Plenty of floral honey in this rich creamy Auslese. Not that sweet for the category, keeping it light on its feet. A long and succulent finish with exotic fruits, making this stand out in the context of 2016. Drink or hold.” 94/100 pts

Jancisrobinson.com:”Very ripe fruit here at first. Honeyed orange peel. Richly sweet, full of golden plum and zingy apricot. Rounded, juicy and intense” 17/20 pts

Vinous: “From several selectively picked, low-yielding parcels, this is a ‘small’ Auslese only in the best possible sense of that word, because while the must weight was modest and, per Haart, there was at most 10% botrytis, the results are ravishing and refined. Creamy and subtly oily, the palate caresses while delivering luscious abundance of the fresh white peach and quince intimated on the nose. Hints of cassis and mint add site-typical appeal en route to a soothingly sustained, sumptuously palate-coating finish that still manages to convey welcome refreshment. Luxuriating in this elixir, you don’t even think about sweetness.” 93/100 pts
